I’m Paula, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and trauma-informed therapist who is deeply passionate about helping people heal and grow. I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in the U.S., and my own journey through trauma, healing, and loss shaped my desire to walk alongside others in their hardest seasons. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly seen, heard, and valued.I work with adolescents (ages 12 and up) and adults who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I use culturally sensitive, evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, grief counseling, solution-focused, and person-centered therapy. Faith-based counseling is also available for those who wish to include their spiritual beliefs in the therapeutic process. I speak French and Lingala and strive to meet you where you are emotionally, culturally, and personally. In memory of my late brother Samuel, I show up each day with compassion, purpose, and hope.
